UTM Campaign URL Builder
Tag your marketing links so Google Analytics (GA4) can tell you exactly which campaign, channel, and creative drove each visit. Fill in the fields and the tracking URL updates live — no more hand-typing query strings or broken ampersands.
Fill in the URL, source and medium…
GA4 reads these as session source / medium / campaign.
How to use it
- Paste the destination page URL.
- Fill in source (where the link runs), medium (the channel type), and campaign (the promotion name).
- Optionally add term and content for paid keywords or A/B variants.
- Copy the generated URL and use it in your ads, emails, or posts.
Frequently asked questions
What are utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign?
They are query parameters Google Analytics reads to attribute traffic: source = the site or platform (newsletter, x, facebook), medium = the channel type (email, social, cpc), campaign = the promotion name (spring-sale).
Do UTM parameters affect SEO?
Not when used for their real purpose — inbound campaign links. Avoid using UTMs in internal links on your own site, which can fragment analytics and canonical signals.
Should UTM values be lowercase?
Yes. GA treats "Email" and "email" as different values, so pick a lowercase convention and stick to it — this tool lowercases values for you by default.
Does this work with GA4?
Yes. GA4 reads the same utm_* parameters and reports them under session source / medium / campaign dimensions.
